BC Nature Annual General Meeting - Resolution on Fish Farms
A resolution on Fish Farms from the Lillooet Naturalist Society to the BC NATURE (Federation of BC Naturalists) Annual General Meeting on May 2, 2009 passed. (PDF copy of the resolution). For more information regarding this, Ruby Berry will be at the Salmon in the Canyon festival this Saturday, August 22nd. Ruby will have an information booth - she's with the Georgia Strait Alliance and this is her area of expertise.
Powerhouse Foreshore Restoration Project News
Are you building, renovating, making a road or expanding your gardens this spring? If you think you have some native plants, grasses or small shrubs that may be impacted, the Lillooet Naturalist Society will come and dig them up to use on local restoration projects. See Poster for contact details.
Powerhouse Foreshore Restoration Project 2008
A copy of the Powerhouse Foreshore Restoration Plan is available at the Lillooet Library. This manual will be updated on a regular basis to include additional researched information. Data based on monitoring reports will also be included and provide guidance to future work.

Proposal to Nature Canada
This article is written as an information preamble to a proposal that Nature Canada adopt a position statement on the fundamental conflict between economic growth and biodiversity conservation following those of a number of ecological and economic societies around the world.
Catalog Project
The Lillooet Naturalist Society has undertaken a project to catalog all species of animals, plants and insects in this area.
As part of this process, we are pleased to include a list of butterflies that are found in this region.
We would be happy to receive other lists of plants, plants or insects, which we could add to the catalog.
